    THE GREAT CHINESE WALL
The construction of the Great Chinese wall started as far back as the 4th century B.C. and lasted 600 years. At that time separate Chinese states had been forced to defend their north frontiers against forays of nomads. The Great Chinese wall extends over the Northern China for almost 4 000 km. Every 200 meters a watchtower stays. Inflaming a signal light in a tower a patrol informed a patrol of the next tower about a danger.
