| Baikal Lake is located in the south-east of Siberia (Russia). This is the deepest (1620 m), the oldest (geological age - about 25 mln. years) and the most voluminous fresh lake in the world. The lake keeps 1/5 part of the whole world resources of fresh water. About 300 rivers flows into Baikal but only one - Angara flows out. Nature of the lake is also unique. |
